Motors and drives leader opens support centre in Pune

Pune, MAHARASHTRA, India, October 3, 2005 --- The motors and drives specialist Baldor Electric has opened a new facility in Pune.  The office will provide support for the company's industrial drives and IEC and NEMA frame AC motors, portable power generators, and motion controllers and servo motors for precision automation.

The new company - Baldor Electric India - is also investing in local stock, and will soon be carrying a wide range of motors in ratings up to 1250HP (932kW) for ex-stock delivery.

The new support facility complements Baldor's long-standing relationship with its distributor, Inteltek - a specialist in high precision motion control applications - who have provided automation system development and integration services for Baldor products since 1991.

"This new facility allows us to extend both the range of services we can offer, and the depth of support - providing valuable assistance to regional companies, helping them to minimise risk and expand more rapidly", says Sunil Raibagi, Joint Managing Director of Baldor Electric India.

"Our close proximity to Inteltek's headquarters in Pune is also going to be extremely useful in helping us to provide turnkey automation systems, allowing our engineers to work as a team on projects, combining their hardware/software and systems building skills to provide optimal solutions".
